I have been following this story since the little girl first went missing this past weekend. I don't know why it has affected me so much. Things happen every day to children but for some reason this just makes me cry everytime I think about it (not that other stories don't upset me) I just keep thinking of my ds who is 20mo and how could a father (or anyone)do something like this? I mean our children trust us, they don't yet understand how cruel some people are. They don't know how to not trust mommy and daddy, they come to us for comfort and love. Here this little girl goes to her parents room, most likely for comfort and this is what a so called father does to his little girl? I can't begin to imagine how scared she must have been when she came to, wandering around no doubt looking for the very animal that did this to her. He is an animal and should be treated like an animal. They should take him out of jail (after the other inmates have had there fun) and handcuff him to one of the trees in the woods where her body was found, after hitting him so hard in the head that he loses consciousness. Oh, and he should be dressed in only his underwear and a sweater (since she just had on a diaper and sweater). Well maybe they should force him to walk around in the snow first after he comes to, like she did. So now instead of continuing to plan for her 2nd b-day party like the family was, they have to plan her funeral.

Trust me, where he's going there won't be any cold to fear....Nothing cold about it.

I like your idea of punishment. I cannot for the life of me understand people like this, but maybe that's a good thing. Poor baby. I thought it was interesting they said he was under arrest for indecent contact with a "different" child. This guy deserves whatever he gets in prison.

If he did not want her I would have loved her. I would have let her sleep in my bed. Im am looking at my baby now and crying at the thought of her beign out in the cold.
This poor baby just wanted to cuddle in a nice warm bed with daddy and for that she had to freez to death. Im positive he will be killed in prison. Prison inmates done even tolorate this kind of thing.

It breaks my heart when I read these stories, especially whent he kids are the same age as my kids!
My DS is 19months and he comes in our bed every night, to treat him like that, or if my DH ever treated him like that, I would be in jail after killing DH!
The poor, little baby, at least she is in heaven where she will be loved.

That is just it. The thought of her walking around outside like that, it just really gets to me, thinking about how the police found the tiny footprints in the snow. It must be because my youngest is her age and he is just this precious little being. I can't even phathom something like this happening. He has been waking up crying a couple times in the middle of the night the past couple of weeks and we bring him in to sleep in the middle of us. How could this mother allow the father of her child back in the house after he was just in jail, especially with those charges? When I first heard the story Sunday morning I felt so bad for the mother, after she said the last time she saw her dd was when she took her back to her own bed. I kept thinking (after they found the body and before I knew the dad did this)now this poor mother has to spend the rest of her life thinking, what if I would have just kept her in bed with me? Would she be ok? All the what if's. Now I wonder about her.
