Boy, I wake up this morning to a Tropical Storm AND Castro has given power to his brother!! What a shocker! (More for Castro than the TS)

We will see where he (or it could be a she! :D ) goes!!

Honestly, I would rather deal with hurricanes that you know are coming than tornadoes that are more unpredictable. Stay safe, too!! lol

It is too early to worry. Like I have said before, you get used to this when you live in Florida. Stressful for a time, but who doesn't have it from some weather condition?

I was in more shock about Castro!! That will affect us more than Chris in all likelihood.

I lived right outside of New Orleans during Dennis, Katrina, and Rita. I am SO glad I moved! Evacuating over and over again was a pain, 'specially with a 1 yr old. I couldn't imagine doing it now with gas prices so high.

You keep your hurricanes, I prefer tornadoes. At least the storm is done and gone in a matter of minutes. No worry about evacuating on clogged up roads, boarding up windows, or stock piling food and water. Just run for that basement when the sirens sound.

On a rather interesting note, I once had someone from CA tell me they would rather deal with earthquakes than tornadoes. So I guess it is just a matter of where you live and what you are accustomed to, b/c I would never want to deal with an earthquake. Talk about unpredictable.

To those in "hurricane country", stay safe.

Stay safe.

we lived at the beach for a time and I remember the first time the Tsnami sirens started wailing. They don't tell you what to do - just start wailing and everyone panics. Luckily we never experianced an actual tsnami but there were a few earthquakes off the coast and warnings. Scary to live in fear like that.

Stay safe - I guess you are used to them by now but I don't think I could ever get used to them. Good luck
