I'd like to know why it took three hours for a rescue? If he had seen his family were all shot why wouldn't he get the cell phone out of the car to call 911. Or run to a nearby home to get help asap. I can see his first reaction to flee but you would go back quickly if you were not dead on the ground.
I won't be surprised if they find evidence that he did the shooting.

ITA. I smell a rat. Okay, if we can all see that the story doesn't quite add up, why can't investigators?
