OMG!! That is totally awful!!! Thank goodness that the young boy turned out to be fine afterwards & nothing serious like alcohol poisoning happened.

How could you not notice, come on, the smell alone with let you know if you had half a brain. I hated Applebees even before i read this. He could have died because of some idiot. I would be screaming very loudly and demand the person get fired. I don't care if it was just a mistake, the person is too stupid to be working near liquor.

How horrible! Thank goodness the little boy turned out okay. I don't understand how they could confuse the two of these!

I guess I'm paranoid, I always took a sip/checked DD's cups when they came in those plastic lidded cups where you couldn't tell what was in it... though I was afraid of them giving her caffienated soda, not liquor!

Good Lord. What a ding-a-ling. Don't you think they'd
noticed the smell when he was pouring it. Jeez, I'm just
glad that little boy's o.k. But he still had to go through getting
sick then not to mention what he had to go through at the
hospital. I don't think i'd been that nice if this would've been my
babies.

I'd be making a bigger stink than the mother seems to be!!!

And...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? He didn't realize what he was pouring? What kind of an idiot do they have working there? Sorry, I don't like Applebee's in the first place, but this has to top the cake! Ridiculous!!

And it was a MANAGER no less!!! What a frickin' moron!!!! He should definitely be reprimanded for that. I was a bartender for years, and I KNOW that tequila has a very distinctive smell....you can't miss it!! Stupid idiot.

That's a local story here. Apparently, this Applebee's has a completely clean record, but other Applebee's have had this happen before. The news here cited one in New York. It's because apparently they put the apple juice and premade margaritas in generic bottles right next to each other. The person just picked up the wrong bottle. It was unintentional.

It's scary. But I think the problem is with Applebee's system, not the person who served it. Applebees should really have a better system.

As a side note, learning that Applebee's has their top shelf margaritas premade, sitting in some generic bottle, really makes me think I will never order that from the bar. Gross out.

Tuesday nights, kid's eat free. That's a better deal than Happy Hour.
