If the elections were today, who would you vote for?

I don't know. I was just reading about Giuliani woes and I got to thinking who I would vote for if I had to choose from everyone right now. I know Giuliani, as are most Republicans, is not even an option for me. I've watched Edwards, Clinton, and Obama pretty closely and I'm not sure. I like all three but have some concerns as well. I've seen Bloomberg has stepped in but truthfully I know nothing about him and probably should research it a bit.

Anyway I was just curious where everyone else was standing at this time!

I haven't done much research on any of the candidates (I need to do this). As of right now, from the few things I've read and seen, I'm not too choked up about any of the candidates.

The only two I know much of anything about are Clinton and Obama. At this point, I would vote for Obama. Yes, It would be great to have a woman as president (and who knows, maybe she's better than I know right now) But I like a lot of the things that Obama has been saying. I am not overly excited about any one candidate so far-

I'm not all that excited about any of the candidates either. NO WAY I'd vote for Hillary. Obama I like personally (yes, even thought I'm republican) but I don't think he has nearly enough experience yet to be president....vice president yes, but president no. Guiliani I think was great dealing with 9/11 but I'm not sure he can win the republican nomination as he's really a fairly liberal republican. If I HAD to pick now (thank God I don't) I'd probabably pick Mitt Romney.

Personally I would have to write in Mickey Mouse. I'm not happy with any of the candidates at this time. Problem is, none of them ever follow through on campaign promises and probably worse yet is the fact that it doesn't matter who takes over as the new Pres., they have a hell of a mess to come in and clean up, leaving even less time for accomplishing anything they had originally said they were going to do.

Also, just a hunch, and oh boy do I hope I am wrong on this one, but I tend to think you will see the new Pres. remain a republican. Why? B/C while I see nothing wrong with a female or non-caucasion male running the country, I don't think very many others (at least those I've talked to) agree. Therefore, the democratic party is setting themselves up for failure by letting either Clinton or Obama run on the ticket. And I think it is coming that one of those 2 names will be your democratic runner. Kind of the same with the last election of Kerrey running the democratic ticket. It was imo then that the democrats just handed the election to the republicans, and I think it is about to happen again.

Of course this is all just my opinion, and I would love to be proved wrong, but I don't see it and well frankly, a republican running this country for another 4 years scares the day lights out of me!!!!

Ron Paul all the way! Even though he registered as a Republican he does not partake in partisan politics. He is a Constitutionalist. He will only vote for legislation that is authorized by the Constitution which has earned him the nickname 'Dr. No' because he is an obgyn.

YouTube - Ron Paul : Stop Dreaming

Because of Rudy Giuliani's comments to Dr Paul during the second debate many feel that Dr. Paul thinks we deserved the 911 attacks. THIS, HOWEVER, IS SIMPLY NOT TRUE! Dr. Paul only didn't want us to get into an ill defined war that will never end. He voted to authorize the use of force in Afghanistan but actually wanted a more specific action taken against Al Queda using a letter of marque and reprisal as outlined in the Constitution. He is not for terrorism he just doesn't want to create more by going after the wrong people.

I am not up to par yet, either. It just doesn't seem urgent yet.

I really liked Edwards last election, though. We shall see.

I'm a registered Republican but i have no idea!!! I'm not fond of any of our candidates on the Democratic or Republican side. i like the idea of doing away with parties altogether and just having an American party.

I used to tell myself I'd vote for the first female presidential canadate... but I just can't vote for Hilary Clinton.

There's a senetor (I think) up for the Republicion nominee , from Colorado. Can't think of ihs name, but just what I've read on his views about health care, immigration and education makes me like him. I don't really know enough about anyone right now though.
