Didn't she call some of the 9-11 widows, "sympathy Whores"?? Because she felt like they were trying to cash in on their losses with constant media attention? I can't remember the exact words, but she was pretty nasty about it.

Wow - I didn't realize you knew Ms. Edwards personally. Come on - you don't KNOW this. She is a person, a wife, a mother. She could have very likely simply became fed up with Coulter and took it upon herself to call. She is not the politician - her husband is.
I almost added in how much I hate Anne Coulter back in the Nancy Grace thread. Her column was removed from our newspaper after her comments about the 9/11 widows being glad that their husbands are dead. Of course, now a whole bunch of idiots are writing the paper asking to have her back because she is "so insightful and tells the truth" and then they accuse the newspaper of playing to the liberals because they cancelled this hateful woman. I'm no big fan of Rush Limbaugh or any number of other right wing pundits, but man - this woman is just cold, mean, and will go to any depths to sell her story.

What's with the hair-flipping? She tried to dominate the conversation and ended up looking stupid and insecure. And I'm not a democrat.

Round One, Elizabeth.

Hmmm....I just heard an interesting thing tonight. RIGHT after the spat on TV, there was an thing on Edwards site soliciting money for his campaign and it mentioned the Coulter fight. So it was obvious they were planning to use this as a campaign raising tactic. Poor Edwards, attacked by Ann Coulter......so won't you give us some money, please. Yes Ann Coulter is abrasive in the way most of the extremists on BOTH sides are abrasive, but it sound like the Edwards were trying to use that fact to get more money. UGH....politics is such a slimy business.

That was actually there before this aired interview, and was part of the subject that Ann was talking about - she'd brought it up, or tried to, getting cut off each time.

I was going to do a different thread, but someone mentioned Rosie....did you see how she is letting pics out of her little girl dressed up in military gear, including ammo? Talk about furthering your career through shock with your children!

I have never heard of Ann Coulter before yesterday (maybe I live under a rock!) but the impression I got of her is that she is one of those people who, when they can't defend their position with facts, opinion or their own personal beliefs, resort to sarcasm and attacks to get their opponent to back down. Doesn't make for an intelligent debate and I can't respect that.

I love hearing Calimari's take on this. While our opinions vary greatly on a lot of subjects, she always gives me another point of view to consider.

She'll keep talking as long as anyone is willing to listen.

I hadn't heard of her either until reading this thread. I googled her and read some stuff she's said/done over the years. I truly think she is a sociopath. She certainly fits the criteria of having a severe personality disorder. She has no empathy, displays very narcissistic traits, etc. These are scary people.

I can't stand her either. She was out of line to talk about their deceased child like that, hurtful and needless.
She was once on Bill Maher's show with Chris Rock, and he put her in her place. At the end he said "You have a comment for everything don't ya whitey", this after she made comments about those left in New Orleans after Katrina.
The ONLY thing I have ever agreed with her on was her stance on Harriet Meyers being nominated for the Supreme Court.

What she said about the 9/11 widows was horrible as well in my opinion.

Oh wait, OOPS!!! She's not a Stripper, the politically correct term is Exotic Dancer....my bad.
- I am sorry- but that was really funny!
