Why would you think that? The OP asked for our opinions and we have stated them. If it will make you feel better, I will start a "George Bush" post myself and list my opinions on his faults as well.

Come on Treehugger...I expect better from you.

I understand your reservation, Treehugger. My reason for this thread was not to bash Hillary in any way. Actually, I feel she is an excellent presidential material and I've always admired her skill and intelligence. My reason for this thread was to understand(although I disagree) and to specifically find out what it is about Hillary that people(particularly women) disagree with? So many times I have read general responses( and not just at this site) about why women hate her, I just wanted to find out the specifics so that I can understand where these women are coming from.
I was just hoping that everyone that reads or responds to this thread can keep an open mind and understand that it's just another persons point of view and that's it. Naive, maybe, but I can always hope.

Because on both sides there are going to be people who are STRONGLY opposed to the person and what they believe in. It's going to get ugly. When I read the oppinions of some of the above posts, I was angry, yet I like the posters. I felt what they said was wrong. If I were to point out the points that I thought were wrong, it would just become a tennis match to see who go the last word and it would ultimately come down to (because it always does) that Bill got a bj.

With the other thread about George, it will come down to "You must respect the office." Well, 70% of the people in this country don't respect the person sitting in the office chair and even more of the whole world. To debate every single issue would not only take all day to type but cause hard feelings among us.

I'm trying to take the high road. That's not always easy when it comes to these type things. We all know I have a lot to say on the matter.

I know. The ladies on this site though are predominately conservative/republicans and this has been tried before. I just hate to see the mess it turns into. BTW: I admire her too.

Well geez woman...say it.

Don't worry if someone isn't going to agree with you. Let your feelings be known. You can still take the high road and not attack anyone on the board personally.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I learn quite a bit from your posts. About all manner of things. It would be a real shame if you didn't say what's on your mind. I talk to a 3 year old all day for pete's sake! This morning we have discussed the merits of buttery pretzels vs. regular stick types. I love to come here and hear any and all opinions...and I am NOT afraid to state mine.

Just remember that STATING opinions and BASHING someone is sometimes a thin line. Heated debates are fine...and fun (and educational!!), but bashing is something we ALL should strive to be above....Republicans AND Democrats alike!! Remember, we are MOMMIES, trying to teach our CHILDREN the RIGHT WAY to do things!!!

Hilary Clinton is the Senetor of my state and is doing an awesome job. She stands up and fights for many issues that I believe are important.

I also liked Bill Clinton as President. There were issues that he signed that I did not like, but mostly I was very pleased with him. I did think the world was a better place when he was in office and I would love to see us back where we were then. If we could only turn back time.

I don't know who I am going to vote for in the upcoming election. I will say that I have not ruled Hillary out as my candidate.

OMG!!! Are you kidding me. In this day and age there are people who don't think that we are every bit as capable as men?????
it has nothing to do with "this day and age". it has to do with the way that God designed us.

Wow, I'm pretty impressed. An honest to God, knock down drag out debate! Whoo hoo! I'm in (please note humor in tone of this statement).

As most of you know, I am a libertarian with conservative leanings. Having said that, I have a few points to make on this thread:

Hillary:
1. I don't like her and don't trust her. She believes that the government is a better steward of my money and my life than I am. This is an ideological difference, and one on which neither she nor I will be swayed. I cannot vote for a woman with whom I have such a difference.

2. She does not believe in a strong defense. She believes that we should simply get out of the middle east and let civil war ensue (similar to what is going on in Darfur). Also, she would rather appease terrorists than hunt them down like the dogs that they are.

3. She will take whatever position is politically advantgeous for her at the moment. She has no moral backbone, IMHO.

A woman as president:
I think a woman President would be a good idea, if it were the right woman. As for Skeems comments regarding that a woman shouldn't be President because God made us different, I respect her beliefs. I also heartily disagree that because we are different, we are not made to be president. Women are child-bearers... we are responsible for the continuation of our species. If we can handle that responsibility, as given by God, we can surely handle the responsibility of the presidency.

George Bush Failings:
Well, before posting to this I read through that post, and will post there as well in a moment. I personally don't see any problem with making up a list of what you don't like in a current president or in a potential president. If I write things that I don't like about the current president, then I am bashing him. However, aren't I also bashing the Honorable Senator from NY with my above statements? I am an equal opportunity basher.

Well, my number 1 reason is I don't trust her one tiny itty bitty bit!

I also have a personal reason. My DH worked for a factory in PA and their main factory was in NY. Hillary made a deal with the owner to give him state money to better his NY factory if he would close the PA one down. DH out of a job he loved for 15 years = me never voting for Hillary Clinton!
