I'm just glad that it's not as bad as the first news reports. We'll see what happens in the morning.

I think it wil be worse by am. They are no longer on rescue but recovery. They have called off search until am. By all accounts the bridge had bumper to bumper cars but there were not that many in the pictures. The people on the bridge that survived all said they saw cars falling off the bridge into the water.
I pray that it will minimal. ray:

There are two threads going on this. Maybe a mod can merge them together.

so far rescue has come to an end. They are now in recovery. The search has been called off until am.

FOr those in MN there are prayer services tomorrow at noon.

So scary! We're all fine here, but I hope everyone else is okay. We drive this bridge all the time, though with the resurfacing they've been doing lately, we've been altering our routes. I'm sure many lives were saved just by others avoiding this stretch with the construction as well. As of this morning, there were 9 confirmed dead, 60 people injured, and 20 people missing.

We are safe as well. Very scary, as this bridge isn't very far from home, and we go over it all the time on the way many places. It's kind of located right between Minneapolis and St. Paul, not too far from downtown Mpls.

Me&My2girls, I hope you hear from your family soon and that they're safe! I cannot even imagine what the families who haven't heard from their loved ones must be going through right now. ray:

Sending prayers to everyone who has not heard anything for their family members! Bridges collapsing are so scary (and one of my worst fears- I live near Pittsburgh)! Is the death toll still at 3- I have not watched the news yet this morning.

I was just going to ask if their was anymore updates on the people count- last time I heard it was 3 dead and they did not give numbers for the missing- I have not seen the news yet this morning- my youngest got up early and I don't want her to see it on the news (we live near Pittsburgh and travel by bridge all the time!). Sending prayers to everyone in this area- and I hope that all of our Mommysavers in the area are safe as well as their families!

What a horrible tragedy for all involved. Prayers for those families still missing their loved ones...dosen't look like they will have a happy ending.
