my mom was on this bridge a couple of hours ago!!! too close too home

I'm watching this on CNN and Fox news right now. They think there are 100's of people either trapped or dead. Pray for these people and their families!!!

I'm at work right now and was goingto post. My dept helps with autopsies and our staff have been calling in to saee if they are neded. Thankfully at this pouint the anwser is no.

That is a good sign I guess!! how scary for these people!! the news had said to stay off of the phones if you are calling the twin citeies or even from them (wireless ones) the lines are over flooding I guess!! I just pray these people are ok!!

A bridge that goes over the Mississippi collapsed during the tail end of rush hour. They are reporting 3 dead so far. A school bus had just made it over the river before it collapsed. It looks horrible. Hope everyone is safe and sound that we know on this board.

DH was on the phone with his Brother when it happened. His brother was driving to the twins game with his wife and baby. The phone went dead right after 6 pm and no one can get a hold of him now. We don't want to jump to conclusions too quickly, but it is terrifying! DH and I are very worried. Who knows, maybe they were involved but got out with no problems. We just can't get through to them.

We have been listening to news coverage via radio/TV since a little after six. It's a real tragic situation. New says there is no evidence that terrorists were involved, but the timing makes you wonder. Six o'clock, right near the Metrodome with a Twins game starting at 7:00...
