I feel so sorry for this man. Having to be covered by a tarp to shield himself from onlookers. I bet that was so humiliating. . .

Very very sad indeed, especially since he suffers from Prader Willi Syndrome. I knew someone who knew someone like this and they will basically eat themselves to death.

I always think of the 'enabler' though...someone is getting food to them, they cannot get it themselves...the person I knew of lived in a house with locks on all the food cabinets.

This was in my neck of the woods(Michigan). I didn't know he had Prader Willy Syndrome. I know a little girl who has it, she is such a little doll. She is almost 3 and is a little big for her age but her mama and papa and the good lord take good care of her. She is a case where she doesn't have a lot of the symptoms that a Prader Willy child would have besides being a little overweight and a few developmental delays. She doesn't talk a lot yet but is quite bright and mobile She is a very loving child such a blessing

We used to have a member who had a brother with Prader Willi. I can't remember who it was though. That would be such a hard thing for not only the person but also the family to deal with.

My 16 year old son's step sister has Prader-Willi. She is about 11 now. Someone let that man get that way and I think they should be held criminally responsible. There are so many things that can be done for someone in this condition such as keeping the food locked up and restraints at night if necessary. This is such a sad story.
