60% of people say they aren't prepared in the event of a storm so now's the time to check your supplies and stock up on anything you're missing.

Good luck everyone and fare well!

I'm so sick of them. I really am. 3 hits is enough for me. I keep begging to move somewhere else, even in Florida, but further inland and not so heavily populated. It looks like next year might be my year.

I've lived in Palm Beach county my entire life, and it wasn't until 2004 that I experienced my first hurricane...then my 2nd 3 weeks later. I'm so tired of it. I was kind of hoping we were just having strange weather patterns for the last couple of years, but I don't want to hang around to see. The aftermath is what does it for me, coming back to our house (mandatory evacuation zone) and not knowing what I'm going to lay eyes on, being out of power when it's 90+ degrees outside, and living in a somewhat scary neighborhood. Then our insurance cancelled us in April. No one else is going to pick us up. *whine* cue the violins.

But yes, back to topic, I am stocked up pretty well. I'm going to check the models tomorrow morning and buy some water afterward.

Thanks for Emergency info-
Ernesto was downgraded to Tropical Storm so hopefully he will keep fading.

I sure hope they are wrong, but it looks like Ernesto will go back up to Hurricane strength. Our Florida mommies - please stay safe and be prepared!

I'm with you. At least tornadoes come and go in a matter of minutes, and I don't find myself checking the weather every half hour or so for days on end to see the new projected path of the storm. Just keep an eye to the sky, listen for the siren and hit the basement.

Hope everyone in hurricane country stays safe especially those currently in Florida.

Everyone please stay safe, and if they tell you to evacuate, then go. Your property is not worth as much as your life, or the lives of your family.
