It was very scary and I wanted to see if you all were as nervous? I do realize that the U.S. is not currently in a full blown recession, however the stability of the economy is fragile. You may not see it now, but a ripple effect will happen.
I worry about my retired parents who live in the states. I wonder how this is going to affect the cost of living for them. They're on a tight budget to begin with. But not only them, I wonder how it's going to effect the millions of seniors and families that rely on governmental services and aid. It always turns out that the ones that are most in need are the ones most effected by such circumstances.

Oh no, I didn't take it personally, not at all! I think it's wonderful when people come from other countries and spend their converted dollars on our junk - we get to reap the tax revenue!
Prices are rising, but not necessarily because of a weakend dollar. Prices are rising because costs are rising. Costs are rising, in part, because of higher fuel costs. Fuel is rising because crude oil price futures are rising. Crude oil prices are rising because we haven't built a refinery in the US in over 30 years --oops, sorry I digress!
Back to the topic at hand. Bottom line, no I didn't take it personally. I am not worried about the devaluing of the dollar. Our currency is never going to crash like those in central and south america. We will not have inflation like they do. The Fed is being very proactive in ensuring that interest rates are kept in check while we steadily grow the economy.
So, come on over and do your grocery shopping - hopefully you can get some good deals!!!!
