I'm not sure what's with the parents. I'm still unclear if they just rescued her or she's been with her parents for the last 2 years and they just figured out who she was.

I can not even begin to imagine what kind of life that child will lead with all the trauma that has happened. It really is heartbreaking

I know....the people that saw the tape said imagine the worst things that an adult male could do to a child...and it's worse. That made me want to puke.

They thought she was missing.

They originally showed her picture trying to figure out who she was. That's how they actually identified her "I think". They said they don't normally did that, but couldn't figure out how else to identify her. I think they're removing it now since they've identified her.

This is what I heard as well- that they tape was given to the police in early Sept. and they tried to find her without the media- though because the tape was so horrible they thought they needed to find this girl and released her picture.
They also will not say how old she is now- though say she is older than when she was in the tape.

I've also heard the guy who had the tape said he found it in the desert. But instead of notifying anyone, he just showed it to friends until someone finally told the police. They're charging him with something too, which I think they should. Shame on him for not trying to save that child.
