Why did they move so fast (by getting him here)if they didn't have complete evidence first? Just wondering. I don't watch the news or read the newspaper. I only get the news from MSN homepage or here!

I don't think he had to do with him! They had been watching him for sometime and figured they needed to pick him up before he went to work as a teacher

I knew he didn't do it, his story didn't match up, plus if the dna did match they would have released that right away. They stayed quiet until now so they could get his case for the other offenses together so he wouldn't be put on the street.
So sad though, I wish they would find the person...I always thought it was the older brother, the one who was in college at the time....

I do think the guy is WAY creepy & disturbing, but I always thought he was just seeking attention or he's somehow convinced himself that he did it.

He is either a step or half brother I can't remember but they hid him away so good I always thought that is why they tried to cover it up. He was just beginning college at time or about to graduate high school? anyway he was around that age.

I wasn't suprised about Karr...he's a weirdo but he didn't kill JonBenet. I really began to doubt him when I read that he had moved to CA following the Polly Klaas murder and was obsessed with her death. It's almost like he's a child murder groupie.
John Ramsey's son John Andrew (from his previous marriage) was cleared early on in the investigation, his DNA didn't match and his alibi checked out. I believe he was in another state at the time from what I remember reading.
I never felt the Ramsey's were involved, but that's me.

The son, Burke I think, was older than JonBenet, but was still young. He is just a sophomore in college this year. He goes to Purdue (close to me & dh alum) and they've been showing John Ramsey flying him back to school. My dh said, "Poor kid, he's probably gone to school without people paying too much attention to him, and now everyone on campus will know". I think there was some suspicion surrounding him because of a conversation the police heard or taped or something, where the parents can be heard telling Burke to not say anything, they'll take care of it. But he was cleared because most people said because of his age and size at the time, they don't think he could have used the amount of force required to kill her.
Edited to add: Burke was the older brother of JonBenet by patsy & john who was in the house when she was killed. John also had two, I think, older children from a first marriage but they weren't in the house at the time.

The older child of Patsy/John Ramsey was only 9 at the time of the murder. I can't imagine a nine year old brutalizing his sister in such a way and his DNA didn't match either...
But as I said, I never thought it was the family...
There are several good books on the murder, both pro and con towards the Ramsey's that have been written over the years. I've read most of them.

JonBenet's had a half brother and sister. John Andrew, 30, and Melinda, 35, are John Ramsey's children by his first wife.
