The article said that some people know what REALLY happened and that it wasn't the boy? Did I read that right?

I'm not sure what to believe. Maybe I'll try to track down some more info. THey say he confessed, but some say he was coerced into confessing. The article said the town is split into sides over it.

I did a bit of goggling to see what I could find. All of the stories pretty much say the same thing - the police say he confessed; his lawyer says that it was a coerced confession; the grandparents weren't allowed to be with him during questioning (which, by the way, is perfectly legal in some states - although I think completely wrong).

Apparently this child has not had an easy time of it, according to a quote from the Pastor at his church.

Something is amiss. We don't have all of the facts. Perhaps he did set the fire, and it was an accident. Perhaps he didn't. If he didn't, he should not have to endure the Hell he is going through right now. If he did, he needs help. He is young enough so that sustained therapy might actually help this kid.

It's a horrible and tragic situation all around. I can't imagine what all parties concerned are going through right now.

I agree, that no matter what the situation is, he needs help, he needs it now. His life can be turned around it given the chance.

I really don't think a 10 year old kid would plan to kill his family and friends. If the family did have a wild lifestyle it could have been due to a drug debt or something else. He is a minor he should of had a guardian or family member with him during questioning. Also who is to say it was Arson and not just a kid playing with matches or leaving the stove on.

I feel for him ray:
