So my husband and I were in the car the other night listening to the radio. We were listening to Hannity & Colmes when On the Record came on. They were interviewing Joe Francis creator of the "Girls Gone Wild" series.
This man is a piece of work! You listen to the man talk about his problems (he's in jail) and what a saint he is and how he's done NOTHING wrong! Never mind all the young (mind you stupid) young women who's lives he's messed with and humiliated. At one point he even goes as far as comparing himself to Jesus Christ!
Anyway, here is a link to the transcript. Reading it, you don't get the dramatics in his voice, but you can see his comments.

OK, I read the transscript, and I can't believe your way of thinking. Sorry, but this man HAS NOT BEEN CONVICTED OF A CRIME!!! He is innocent until proven guilty, and we are supposed to have a prison system that is just and not cruel. Even if this guy DOES get convicted of what he's been arrested for, it is TAX EVASION. Think of Martha Stewart. She sure as heck wasn't subject to this sort of treatment.
And, lastly, he does not compare himself to Jesus Christ. He compares the treatment he received, the way he was being abused/tortured, to the way Jesus was treated by his captors. It's different.
I imagine this would not even be a story if some of what happened to him in Panama City was not true. And, if it is true, then it is shameful and not the way to treat a prisoner - especially one who is not yet convicted of a crime, and who's crime is non-violent (tax evasion). Just because someone is arrested doesn't mean he is guilty. And you don't have to like the guy, but we all have rights for a reason.

This jail they were talking about was in the US? That doesn't seem right at all. I don't know anything about this man, if he is the guy that did the girls gone wild tapes, then he is a creep, but that was horrible treatment.
I love Jesus, I get very irritated when his name is taken in vain, or he is poked fun of, and stuff like that. But this man did not bring Jesus up himself, someone else mentioned it to him. I don't see him as really comparing himself to Jesus.

Like I said you had to listen to the interview and it doesn't read as well as it does when you listen to it and that wasn't the entire interview.
Truthfully I believe the man is lying about his treatment in Panama, let's face it his program has twice, 3 different girls, (that I've read about) now been in trouble for filming underage girls -- according to him none of that was his fault and he has never broken the law. Maybe not but he sure collects the paycheck for it - around $29 million a year as I recall from the interview. As for his arrest in Panama, according to the interview, he was picked up for transporting drugs, coccaine, I think.
The man is a slimeball and an expert of playing with words and laws in his favor.

I don't deny that he's a creep, but the point is that he was not arrested for any of that - he was arrested for tax evasion, he is awaiting trial, so that means he is innocent until proven guilty. And our prison system is not supposed to engage in cruel & unusual punishment. His rights were violated, if the interview was accurate.

In Vegas he was arrested for tax evasion. In Panama it was drugs and the video taping of 2 17 year olds in the shower together.

Doesn't matter. That's now how prisoners are treated in the US.

Only if you believe that was how he really was treated in Panama. Until it goes to court I'm going to say the jail house is innocent until proven guilty.
