My heart goes out to the people who are dealing with the fire situation in California. We have several Mommysavers members who have been personally affected by this; I wish we could help them all. While we don't allow solicitations on the board, I would like to encourage you to please keep them in your hearts and prayers. If you can do anything to help, please do. Check with the American Red Cross chapter in your area to see if they have anything organized to help out. I feel horrible for those living through this disaster. I lived in Malibu during the 1993 fires and it was so frightening. The house i lived in was the only one that didn't burn on our hill. I really hope they find who ever set these fires. They deserve a very very harsh punishment.

Kim, Thank you for posting this with a link on how members of MS can help out us California residents! I do apologize for my earlier posts and not reading the new rules, I did not mean to offend anyone. For those of us that are affected, we are in a bit of shock and just trying to help out family and friends that have lost everything.

The areas that have burned or will burn are so widespread in San Diego county and surrounding counties. Fires keep erupting and the winds refuse to lay down to give the firemen the upper hand.

Prayers and thoughts are helpful, but as Kim mentioned if you are able to donate to the Red Cross or other organizations putting up shelters and offering food, clothing and medicines - please do!!!
