i agree, jeannette. and with you, christy_k, about him feeding the crocs while holding his baby. he knew what he was doing. and he always said that if a wild animal bit him, he was at fault, never the animal. about him pulling out the stinger, i read that sting ray venom is excruciatingly painful. it was probably just a reaction to pull it out. i'm sure he wouldn't have done it otherwise. i also read that it's not the stinger going in that causes the damage, it's the coming out because of the razor sharp barbs.
i really liked him. what a way to go...
