The lastest on Yahoo is that he yanked the thing out of his chest. I guess it's second nature to yank something out of you if you're impaled, but it's actually best to leave whatever it is in there until medical professionals can help you, especially if it's an artery. I really hate hearing the details, but they made it a headline that his death is on tape (which we all probably could have guessed) and that he pulled it out of himself. I don't like knowing HOW things go down sometimes.

What a complete tragedy! I feel so bad for his family, especially Bindi and Bob. There is this morbid curiosity about the tape, but I don't REALLY want to see it. He deserves to retain the last shred of dignity possible for himself and his family. There are just some things that the world doesn't need to be privy to.

i agree, jeannette. and with you, christy_k, about him feeding the crocs while holding his baby. he knew what he was doing. and he always said that if a wild animal bit him, he was at fault, never the animal. about him pulling out the stinger, i read that sting ray venom is excruciatingly painful. it was probably just a reaction to pull it out. i'm sure he wouldn't have done it otherwise. i also read that it's not the stinger going in that causes the damage, it's the coming out because of the razor sharp barbs.
i really liked him. what a way to go...
