you know what I was thinking about re-reading the scarlet letter. And along those lines I'm glad for the justice system but on the other hand once they have determind that someone is guilty why can't they turn them over to the public??? I am so outraged, angry, sad, and sick and I can't read this stuff anymore. I'm going to have nightmares and it makes me sick. If that guy on the article was the dad with the cut open head. He looks like a looser anyway. How in the hell did the mom not hear something wasn't right? She should get in trouble for child endangerment. If she had old bruises then she HAD to have seen them! what an idiot. The only thing that is a catch 22 is that this poor poor baby didn't have to live her entire life with this idiotic cruel hateful selfish b&%#*!d of a father. I'm so sick of children being mistreated and abused and supposedly nobody knows, like a mother doesn't know something is wrong. I wish someone would have seen the bruises and she was taken away before this. Either way this guy should fry! I could never be a police officer. I just couldn't deal with stuff like this. I feel so so sorry well, for the baby, yet on the other hand, she is with a father that loves her and will keep her safe forever. A much better alternative to the situation she was in. That is the only thing that I can think of and that will let me sleep without nightmares and freaking out. My other thought is why can't stupid people just put their kids up for adoption so that those of us that care and love children can take care of them and raise them and love them and provide them homes BEFORE someone screws them up so that they can't adjust to a "normal" life! AUGHHHHHHHHHHHH! I hope I'm not over the edge on this I'm just comming from a point of raw emotion. I do'nt even know if I am making much sense let alone logical sense I'm more ranting and should probably delete this, I don't know, I'm just really mad that people like this walk among us!

I am crying. Life is so unfair, especially for innocent babies and children to get stuck with horrible parents.

I don't care that he lost his job two months ago. The paper adds that tid bit of information as to give him an excuse to kill his baby. He has had another run-in with the law, but it didn't say what. May he rot in H*@L!

How fitting that her name is Angel. I can't even think straight I am so sadened by this. I just want to wrap my arms around her and tell her everything will work out, but that is impossible to do. No one protected her from this heathen. Why have children if you have no tollerance for small things. I know crying can get on anyones nerves, but if he knew he couldn't handle it the week before, he should have told his wife he couldn't do it - for the sake and safety of the baby.

They are holding him in a psych ward - please do not let him claim he did it by reason of insanity!!!! Not another Andrea Yates!

He shook the baby because she was crying. Gee, I'd cry, too, if I were hurt in that way. No wonder she was crying. The first thing you do if your baby is crying constantly is to check her out physically and make sure you see nothing wrong. They even tell you that at the hospital. I don't remember my kids crying much at 20 days - mostly sleeping. And they both were cryers!!. Because the Baseline Killer was caught (they think), this didn't make much news here. That's the other thing about him being in a psych ward - he's away from the other prisoners. I've heard they don't take kindly to child molesters and child killers.

The things human beings do to each other is unbelievable. When I worked at the hospital, one of my friends was a social worker. She told me about a little girl who had had a curling iron...turned on...put into her vagina. She lived, but I guess the poor little thing had tons of reconstructive surgery and was never going to be "right" down there. Can you imagine the pain of that?? Just don't get people.

I did read the article. And it made me sick. I looked at the picture and wondered what the big gash on his head was for. I wonder if someone already took a crack at him. Too bad they hit him harder.

I will never understand how someone can hurt a child, especially their OWN child. And to kill that baby! It's too sick for words. But there is one comfort that we all have, and it is when he does move into the general prison population, he will be dealt with, and severely. Child molesters, and especially child killers, are the scum of the prison population. Let those guys at him.
