I do both. I try to return my cart and am almost always able to but honestly my daughter is worth more to me than risking her for A CART! Some people are just being lazy (and that ticks me off too) but I understand if you have a child with you and don't want to endanger them.

As I have stated before just because you have a badge you do not have the right to treat someone badly. You can't expect respect if you can't treat others with it. Also, she DOES have a right to silence. I agree with them detaining her but I do not agree with charges. I think the officer was out of line. On another note that officer must not have tried to reach that child because nowhere does it mention any alarms going off. If it wasn't serious enough to try to get to the child than she had no right to fly off the handle. As far as the mothers actions if someone went off on me like that, saying I was a bad mother, I would have a few choice words for them as well- uniform or no uniform.
