I don't think the radiologist should have been held accountable at all however the cardiologist who didn't run the x-ray may have had a hand in his death. I'm not sure if it would have helped but it seems like a simple procedure that was skipped.

I think asking $67 million because he'll be out of future earnings is not appropriate.

I personally think it's a shame they got $14 million. He didn't follow doctor's advice and he wouldn't have survived an aortic dissection anyway. No one gets immediate xrays. Shame on his family for trying to make money off his unfortunate death.

Plus xrays show bones, do they show an aorta dissecting? People have a hard time letting go and just accepting fate. People have to blame someone and lots of people are sue happy. But money for future earnings give me a break, that's why people have life insurance to cover those expenses. Plus if I remember the story right he waited around the set for awhile before finally agreeing to go to the hospital. No matter what he wouldn't have survived the surgery.
