Geraldine Ferraro has been making some really controversial comments re: Obama. Basically stating that he is only doing so well in the polls and primaries b/c of him being a black man.

What do you think? Is she off her rocker?

This was discussed in a thread the other days...I'll see if I can find the link. But to answer your question, no I don't think she's off her rocker. I think she's right. Normally a person who has been a senator for just a few years and has introduced no major legislation and has one of the worst records for "absent" votes and is considered more liberal than a socialist would NOT be a front runner to become president. So I think part of it is his charisma and part of it is because he's black.

I saw Geraldine Ferraro interviewed the other night on TV and she was VERY upset because she spent years fighting for minority rights and now she's being crucified as a racist. She said she thought they should apologize to HER instead of vice versa.

Here's the link to the other thread about this.Geraldine Ferraro's comments regarding Obama
