I think you are referring to a couple of out there preachers who have endorsed McCain. It has been made an issue of in the past few weeks, but seeing as he is the Republican nominee, it really doesn't matter - yet. Nobody cares until the conventions are over.

As far as a "spiritual advisor", I don't think he has one.

I agree. I thought that when I read the other thread. It's like comparing apples to sofas...they're not even REMOTELY the same thing. I don't mind a nice healthy debate, but I do appreciate it when the facts presented are correct. Obama's minister has been his minister where he attends the church for Sunday services for over 20 years. He married him and his wife, baptized his children, Obama even titled his book after one of the minister's sermons. That is WAY different from someone who "supports" a candidate. I mean that guy is in Ohio and McCain is from Arizona. So how often do we think McCain went to church there? So let's argue apples and apples, not apples and sofas

Interesting question. Biracial people that I know refer to themselves as Black. When I asked my roommate in college about this she said she feels like she is denying her black heritage if she calls herself white.
