I really hope that when the torch is going through the US our citizens can be calm and not try to run after and attack these athletes. I am all for civilized protests, but trying to grab the olympic torch and possibly injuring some from your own country does not do anything for "freeing Tibet."

I agree! I support raising awareness of the issues but the fact that torch runners are pulling out because they fear for their safety is sad.
