I did a search to get more of the story and I found this on yahoo. It says a little more, but not much.

Austrian woman says father held her in cellar for 24 years - Yahoo! News

I don't know what they mean by 3 children who live with "the grandparents" if that means the FATHER and his wife (who would be the children's grandmother) or what. SICK SICK.

Article I read said the woman had several siblings (not sure where they were or why they never reported their sister was missing/held captive) and that some of the children she bore had never seen the light of day - always stayed in that cellar. I read that on cnn.com.

I was just coming to post that,, so awful!!

The story I read says she WAS reported missing, but that a letter surfaced shortly after 'asking her parents not to search for her'

so horrifying

it also said that her mother didn't know.... *i can NOT imagine my husband having a locked room in our house and me not wanting to know WHY/WHAT,, what possible excuse could he have for that that wouldn't make her mother concerned??
