Cindy McCain says she'll never release her tax returns - Yahoo! News

I find this interesting because I believe it will become more and more of an issue. No longer are first wives just women in their husband's shadow. More and more we will see the first spouse to be very successful in their way.

Is Cindy McCain right? I don't know. I kind of consider the presidental race to be a team thing and not just about one person.

i woulnd't release them either. DH and i keep ours seperate. I totally understand her side.

I don't understand why we need to see their tax records anyway. Can someone enlighten me?

I'm not sure why she doesn't want to release them. I know she is from a very wealthy family and probably has a lot of money in her own name. I really don't think what someone inherited from their family should affect people's opinion of them. But she's probably afraid that people won't like it if they find out how much money she has. Many people are petty and jealous of anyone that has more than them.
