This is so sad! He was certainly a legend.

That is so sad! I loved him- I always thought he was pretty funny- although somethings he said were risque- but still very funny!

I always thought it was funny to see him as the narrator on Thomas- all I could picture was him also saying the 7 things you can't say on tv (or what ever it was called!), or the twisted priest in the movie Dogma!

Isn't that Jeff Foxworthy? I don't remember George doing redneck jokes.

He could be very dirty at times. However i did find some of his stuff pretty insightful and funny.

Dh and i just watched a special he had on and he just looked bad. He was even off in some of his delivery. After seeing that i'm not as shocked as some to hear he had passed.

I was very sad to see this on TV last night. Loved Carlin - just a brilliant comic. I have no problem with edgy/foul-mouthed comedy. But his stuff is classic.

That's sad. I loved his routine about Americans and all their stuff... and how houses were just a big container for all their stuff. Gotta get more stuff!

I agree. I loved him too.

Now 2 of my favourite comedians have passed, him and Bill Hicks.
