Missing couple's bodies found in septic tank - CNN.com

How in the world would someone get bodies into a septic tank? Would the neighbors notice the backhoe in the back yard? This crime had to have been committed by someone with a good knowledge of septic tanks.

Wow. That just seems like an odd place to dump a body.

I know at least around here, the actual septic tank has a cover, and if you know where the cover is, it's not a big deal to dig down and open it. It's heavy, but it can be done. I know my old house, we had a new tank and system put in, and I knew where the cover was - only under about 18" of dirt. Not a lot to dig. The cover weighed about 100-150lbs. You can easily fit in it, and it's a huge concrete tank.

When my mom was pregnant with me, they had take the cover off the tank at the house I grew up in, right before my folks bought it, to pump it. She was walking around and slipped in it somehow, and I wedged her enough she got stuck. We were fine, but she was MAD!
