'Extreme Makeover' house faces foreclosure - Yahoo! News

I am not sure whether to feel sad for the family or angry that they made such misjudgments. What are your thoughts on this?

That's too bad. I feel bad for the people who worked so hard to build it.

I seen this article yesterday. I think I feel more anger than saddness. It said they took out a loan for a construction company that didn't go. Who would take out a $450,000 loan, when the total value of the house is that??

Sadly, I think that alot of people who come into money somehow don't necessarily know how to manage it and things like this happen. I've heard stories like this when people win the lottery and sweepstakes.

It angers me. It also makes me wonder what they did with the 450,000?

"Beazer Homes' employees and company partners also raised $250,000 in contributions for the family, including scholarships for the couple's three children and a home maintenance fund."

What did they do with the $250,000?? Or did I read that wrong?

From what i understand, they mortgage the house to start a business that went under.

That is why they should have got a small business loan for the business and left the house free and clear or at least the small mortgage that was on it.

Some people are never satisfied with what they have and try to get more and more. That is when they usually get in over their heads.

This is the reason I Can't stand to Watch this Show.

It makes No sense to Me why ONE family Needs and Gets so Much. Some of the Upgrades are Ridiculous IMO-
Ok , so Why not Help out 5 families in need and Put them In Nice modest Living Conditions. Instead of Putting a Mini Golf Course or Two Pools In ONE persons Backyard.

And I Have Read Stories before How People in these Houses Can't Afford the Taxes , Maintenance , Electric Bills etc. People have Cried out Before...
And Yeah it Angers me. Half these People have NO clue how to Keep up with these Houses.

I would be so angry if I were one of the people that helped build that home. Why anyone would be given something like that and then turn around and be so irresponsible with it is beyond me. I really like the show and what they do for the families and I think most of them truly appreciate the time, money and work that is put into the homes, but I find they go overboard with the design. You can build a nice home and provide special accomodations for those that need them but some of the extras they put it these homes just seem wasteful.

I'm in your camp too. I don't watch it anymore.

Help folks get into a nice home, but minus the extravagance.

This has got to be frustrating for all the people who built the place.
