i live in Burbank, about 31 miles from the epi-center. things are fine. no one hurt. a few water pipes broken and some windows shattered. otherwise, everything's ok.

it was a bit scary, as i was using the restroom when it started so i jumped off and grabbed ds, who was mad that i pulled him away from the tv show he was watching. he keeps telling the story to dh and i, and whoever calls.

Oh gosh, that's pretty much the last place you'd want to be when an earthquake happens! Oh, and maybe the shower too. I'd hate to be standing there naked and vulnerable while things around you are shaking.
