Killed by Pressure Cooker?

This happened in our neighboring town. Ladies be careful!

My parents had one of these and we always knew the dangers. It seemed in the 80s or 90s here were a lot of warnings about how dangerous they were.0

These can absolutely be dangerous!!!

Definately NOT a set it and forget it appliance!!!

Although I do have to say their are some newer ones with some great safety features, although they are VERY expensive!!!

wow, that's sad. I'm sure the pressure cooker was at least 60 years old though (probably her wedding gift!) I agree, today's are much safer.

Modern pressure cookers are safer -- also I believe you can have yours checked out at your local extension office in your town.

Both my mother and grandmother used pressure cookers. But, I know they get passed down from generation to generation sometimes, or purchased at yard sales and ladies just "wing it" when using them and can sometimes be careless.

Just thought it was an interesting story, too.
