I remember right when all this started(all the rising costs etc)CNN had a specialist on that said "This(all the cost increases)will hit people like a slap~at first it will just be a shock...then they'll feel the sting and by fall it's gonna hurt.

There's some positive things being said now...but I think it's a last ditch effort for Bush to go out on a somewhat positive note.....and alot of people are saying they are hiding things from us in the news til after the election.

What do you think???

Will it get better or worse?

As far as I'm concerned, it can only get better with Bush gone. Even if terrible things happen, I have to hope that they will be handled better. Even if Brownie did a "heckuva job."

I think the slap might be winter heating costs. Since the election will be in Nov, even though the President won't change til Jan (I think?), the higher prices now mean a big pinch this winter. Some might choose to blame the "new" President, and I don't see the current one doing much - or able to do much - about costs.

It also all depends on what the Congress elections bring about.

I always Believe things are Hidden From us ,
And I Always Believe the Media Over Plays everything.

I Think it'll Get Better and then worse and then Better Forever.

I Think People will always Blame the president for the Worlds Problems.

I Don't think every Person in this country is Feeling the Pain , the way the media Claims We are either.

I don't think either candidate has what it takes to fix this mess. I'm not even voting this year because they both suck so bad.

You know a lot of stuff gets laid at Pres Bushes feet. Let's give credit where credit is due. The liberally controlled congress. Their overall approval rating is lower than the Presidents; so in that thought I believe I am not alone. Now I will be the first one to say that President Bush has tried to make some decisions I didn't agree with (Immigration being one), but congress holds the real power here. Personally, I hold politicians with the same regard as gum on the bottom of my shoe. I have no use for any of them. I will vote this year because it is my right and duty to do so. Plus I feel you shouldn't be able to complain if you didn't cast a vote. I will vote for the lesser of the evils in all branches of govt. Will things get worse ? I hope not, but I would feel a lot more optimistic with certain people in office above others.
