Mailman wants to wear skirt - Page 2

*sigh* He doesn't want to wear a skirt, he wants to wear a kilt. That's like the difference between a hoodie and one of those "sweatshirts." They're not the same thing. I personally hate wearing sweatshirts, they make me look chunky- whether or not I am at the time of wearing 'em. I used to dance with the Royal Scottish Dance Society so wearing a kilt is kinda no biggie to me. I work the RenFest every year so you get used to it. If he wants to wear a kilt- why the heck not? If he wants to wear a skirt with frills and lace, well, that's another story. I'm rooting for this guy.

My dh is overweight and his pants are usually relaxed fit because there is more room in the thighs. I just thought the kilt guy was doing it more for the notoriety than comfort but I'm probably wrong.

Sorry, I have to reply to this....this will cause a slippery slope, usually everything does...other people will start saying, "well if he can do that, why can't I do this.."...it always happens. And yes, I knew a mail carrier that wore a bathing suit to work because she was hot and couldn't work under those conditions. The manager told her to change or leave and it caused a big problem for a while..(she kept doing it). I don't think the women there wear skirts..I think the uniforms are all pants/shorts, so maybe he should just bit the bullet and get his pants bigger or something. I know a lot of mail carriers....some men only want to wear pink shirts, other transvestite men won't wear bras and offend the customers...I could go on and on...so I am for the "official" uniform.

What is the RenFest? Is that like the Cowal games? I did highland dancing in them for a few years as a child---back in the late 70s and early 80s (gosh I'm old..LOL). When we moved back to the states my mom used to make me dance for everyone in my whole get-up. The kilts & knee socks were so daggone itchy. I would love for my girls to try the dancing but I don't know of anywhere in the states where they could take lessons and I can only remember a little. Anyway, sorry to get off topic but I don't know many people who have 'links' to Scotland and your post caught my eye.
