Although we're certainly feeling it even now at around $4 were managing fine.

I think once we hit $5 it would be a more extreme mandatory cutback

For my family, $6 would be painful.

Luckily I live pretty close to work (and DH is reimbursed for his mileage), so it would have to skyrocket for me to change habits. If it was $9 a gallon, I would be paying $200 a month in gas. That would probably cause me to eat out less and cut back on groceries.

I voted "$5," but I have to agree with Starlite. When I left my Ft job to become a SAHM, gasoline was still under $2/gallon. The increase from under $2 already hurt, and we made changes to adjust. But, if gas rises much more, we'll definitely have to cut back more.

I sure hope that it doesnt get any higher. We take my daughter from Washington to Montana 56 times a year . (her biological dad lives there). That would be an expensive gas bill if it went up much higher.

Sat I paid 4.65 a gallon and filled up both my car and dh's truck.

I am sure we would just have to adjust and pay whatever. And the gas stations, and oil companies know this.

We have always driven fuel economical cars and that is a huge help for us. We have limited our out of town traveling. I believe we have adjusted as much as we are able to.
