I couldn't agree more...

That is what I was thinking! how would it look if Biden did that?.. ridiculous.

I mean, can you imagine Margaret Thatcher talking like that? I don't want my world leader sounding like someone who might ask if I want fries with that.

Ronald Reagan - He knew how to speak like a world leader, a diplomat. Barack Obama has that same skill. Hillary did to a point. McCain kinda sorta almost does, but he has strange pauses in his speeches.
VERY well said. I was interested to see Palin talk last night. I went into it with a very open mind.. and she made up my mind. She is uneducated about the things that matter. She knows a lot about Alaska.. but.. she won't helping run Alaska. I wanted straight answer and all she gave was beat around the bush answers..

And this!! I find Palin to be terribly condecending. She thinks she can get by with being cute and that is very irritating. I hate that she thinks she represents all middle class women. She is nothing like me!!!

Oh thank god there are others thinking this. I was considering voting for McCain before his VP pick and I have been on the fence ever since. I do think she did much better than most thought she was going to do, but I kept thinking...really...did you just wink & say joe six pack & hockey mom again?? Golly Gee...what?? I found her condicending with her gosh and gollies...seriously you think that is going to sway me. How about you answer the question...pretty please golly gee Sarah. Yuck! So this morning when I got up and looked at CNN and they are reporting that people thought she connected with "the folks of main street" I wondered what in the world they were watching!! Who are these people who she connected with? Ahh, they must be the same folks who voted for Bush because he seemed like the kinda guy they would like to have a beer with.

I'm-a-scared ladies!!

I don't know what in the world I am going to do. I just wish they had a do over box. Let's start all over.

I don't know that I'd categorize either one as folksy or cocky. I can't wait to see the amount of times certain key phrases were used and how many questions were answered with those same key phrases over and over again. That spoke volumes to me.
If we had "Free markets" - we'd have let the financial situation run it's course. Now we're set for a long, hearty recession with "healthy banks". It's silly. The day after the bail out didn't pass, oil went down to 100$/barrel!!!! Let the market work for goodness sakes, the people didn't want this bail out - that's why they didn't pass it the first time.

As for the attitudes, I'm not really a fan of Palin. I think she's been coached well and is a fast learner but nothing much else has impressed me.

I am just so sad for women in America. We finally have a chance to have a woman in the White House, and this is what we get? Really? I am still in shock that McCain couldn't do better. It is so obvious that he chose her JUST to lure women voters - so yes, he really thinks you are that stupid. The Republican party continues to say that the press is just being hard on her, but if she can't take Katie Couric, then who can she stand up to? She could not answer questions. There is no excuse for that. The folksy, "I'm one of you" attitude is just awful.

McCain looks like he is about to have a stroke and seems to loose his train of thought a lot. The facts are that he is an old man that has led a rough life, and he really should have put more thought into his selection. I do like McCain - I always have, but this is just too much. The Vice-President IS an important job. Look what a mess Dick Cheney has gotten us into.

Palin is not educated nor does she respect education. Her college record is a joke, and college is obviously not a high priority in her household as both of her children that should be in college are not. One enlisted right out of high school and the other is about to be a teenage bride. Has anyone heard from her husband? No you haven't, because he is not capable of speaking to the press. Her accent is awful, so I can only imagine what his is like. I realize that the first lady does do a lot of entertaining and decorating, but there is also a LOT of foreign travel, meeting with dignitaries and very important philanthropic endeavors. Can you seriously see Todd Palin fufilling these duties? No. I am not amused with anyone who thinks of me as a "Joe Six Pack," nor do I want my leaders to consider themselves one. I want a real leader that is well spoken and knowledgeable and can show the best face of America. That is their job. They should represent the very best of American education, as well as experience. They should be able to be dropped into the middle of any group of world leaders and understand what their problems are.

For the record, I do vote for many Republicans - and will vote for Republicans in several other races. So for me, this isn't a Republican vs. Democrat issue, it's an American issue.

I'll just repeat one more time.....the main thing I don't want is a socialist in the White House, so that's why I'll vote for McCain no matter who he has for a VP.

Wow! I don't even know where to begin with this post....

You do know that the FIRST LADY would be McCain's wife, NOT Palin's husband, right??

I think it is sad that we finally have a woman in a position to make a difference, and she isn't getting more support.

I think it is high time for government to get the heck out of our lives! And give it back to the people. We sure as heck don't need the government telling us what we can and can't do with health care, education, ect... I think there are plenty of choices out their for us to make our own decisions, and be responsible for OURSELVES!!!

What is wrong with her education? I thought she had a college degree from a university in Idaho?
