Regardless of which party you favor, or if you are pro-life or pro-choice, or if you are an environmentalist or not... (kind of keeping the politics out of it, just looking at it in a different manner...)

Are you comfortable with Palin's "folksy" newbie-persona running our governement? If reminds too much of the "cocky" fratboy-persona of George W. Bush, which, IMO is not a good personality to run our country.

I do not think they are acting like mature, responsible adults when I hear either of them speak, and I was just wondering if any of you felt this way. I always feel like I am listening to teenagers who have little clue as to how to speak respectively to others. I do not see either of them as great role models for the young people of our country.

Any one else have similar feelings?

Nope, I love that Sarah Palin isn't one of the Washington insiders and hasn't yet picked up their way of speaking in jargon and in circles and over my head. She talks more on my level and I honestly feel that she can relate more to me and my family's struggles than someone like Biden who has been in politics all his life and has become a typical politican. I think her personality is warm and inviting and that she is very personable. I think she would be a great leader for our country.

Nope I don't feel like that at all either. I'm not sure how that post was "keeping the politics out of it". Seemed like a very political opinion to me. Besides what I'm not interested in having run the country is a socialist.

I think that there is a difference between knowledge and wisdom. People (who want to) can gain knowledge - you can't teach wisdom.

I wish more people would open their eyes to the fact that that is where we're headed with Obama if he gets elected.

That's it exactly, a scare tactic. We're already at socialism with this bailout, financial socialism, except it the benefits go to make the richest, richer and no one else benefits.

I don't know that I'd categorize either one as folksy or cocky. I can't wait to see the amount of times certain key phrases were used and how many questions were answered with those same key phrases over and over again. That spoke volumes to me.

I am speaker about the feelings I get when she addresses a crowd. (Not with the issues she supports or doesn't support) These feelings are much like the feelings I got when GWB addressed crowds when he was running for office.

I currently live in a very religious, conservative, Republican area that all vote republican because of beliefs rooted in religion and tradition, not because they feel that person is necessarily the right person for the job.

I am looking at it from a psychological view, I suppose. I have always looked at things much differently that many people. I am neither republican nor democratic -- so I am just figuring out the people that I will have to choose from in the November election. I am sure my culture, education and background is much different than many of yours. I am disappointed that the "folksy" newbie-part of Palin (with the winks & cheerleading and trying to provfe she is middle class with her large double income) are not helping women in the country rise to positions of power. I believe she is hindering the progress of generations of women in America today.

But that is my opinion of her as a public speaker. (Which is not a political opinion of her.)
