I'm curious to know who has a state that usually casts their electoral votes a particular way or if you live in a swing state.

Alabama always goes republican. I'd have to do some digging to find out the last time it went democrat (maybe when Carter was elected).

I answered democrat, as our state voted democrat in 3 out of the last 4 presidential elections. My part of the state is overwhelmingly republican though.

McCain has pulled out of Michigan as we're leaning Obama. Wooo!

I had to vote swing for this election. Usually PA goes to democrats but this year the poles are swinging to McCain one day and Obama the next.

Yep, 1976 for Carter.

I believe Minnesota, though it's not even all the liberal, may have the longest streak of going blue because it was the ONLY state that Mondale/Ferraro won. Washington DC was also blue that year but Kermit the Frog would win DC if he ran as a democrat. Minnesota recently has been somewhat of a swing state, though it will go to Obama this year, almost certainly.

I live in Indiana and we almost always go RED (not IU red) but this year they are calling Indiana a swing state and that scares me.

Indiana has lost a lot of jobs due to RV and auto industry and I think that is impacting it. Altho the state govt is doing really WELL!

Altho, I have heard of area churches taking people by the bus loads after church on Sundays up to vote early (at voting sites that are open on Sunday).

I am really concerned about where Obama could take our country if he is elected.
