The mess in Iraq had nothing to do with 911 as our current president would have you believe. Who knows what was being planned and when, I just know that we've ticked off a whole lot more people now.

As far as not paying for what Bush has spent yet, you can say that again. Our kids and grandkids will be paying for that. If you remember, there was a surplus when Clinton was in office.

See again....I think you have your wording wrong. Bush didn't LIE about WMD. He had the same erroneous information that the UN, Britain, and many other countries had that there were WMD. So that is not a LIE. And as to all the other off topic items--there were lots of people without health insurance before Bush, and the medicare system has been spiraling out of control long before Bush. I know you people want to blame him for everything, but gee....get a grip!! I would think that spending so much time being angry and resentful would not be good for people's mental health. Don't mean just you...I mean people in general. My dh used to rant like that every time Clinton came on TV and I always said the same thing to him. Get over it.

Millions of people lost their health insurance in the first 3 years of Bush's first term. Medicare premiums went up 11.9% in the last year. I didn't blame Bush for these things, I simply said this administration was negligent on them. Another post mentioned Clinton glossing over Rwanda - well, I was simply showing examples of some things that have been neglected since this administration has taken office.

I'm sorry if I'm not willing to sit complacent when I think this country is being diverted and taken into a dark place. That is what being American is about, standing up for what you believe in, and utilizing those rights is about as patriotic as you can get.

We waged a war on "terror"...Iraq does not fit into that equation nor does Erroneous information. N. Korea has nuclear power and we didn't go in there. You can justify this administration’s actions with "erroneous" information but someone needs to hold the Government accountable for their actions.

i also hate the way the new orleans area was treated (before and) after the hurricane. why was it that masses of poor african americans were left in the city? when FEMA told bush that the wall would not hold up against the hurricane, nothing was done.
i also hate the fact that bush is so proud of being a 'war time president'. we (as americans) often forget that we aren't the only people living on this planet. we are the most hated country for what we are doing. why aren't we going after kim jong il more aggressively? while iraq was trying to prove that they didn't have "nucular" weapons, il was over in north korea jumping up and down screaming 'i have nukes, i have nukes'.
i'm saddened that our young soldiers are over there dying for oil. convienently, our vice president is still being paid by haliburten. and, come to find out, they spent a lot of the money given to them by the govt to 'rebuild' iraq on stupid things.
there are just lots of things that make me sad about our government. i really hope we can eventually get someone in there who will work for the people, not their own agenda. i'm not saying that person will be a democrat... it could be a republican. i just wish we had some people running who spoke with their hearts and not their wallets.

You are SADLY misinformed. Govenor Blanco is completely at fault for what happened here. As for the poor huddled masses, they had plently of warning, they took a chance by staying. The aftermath was horrible, but Govenor Blanco caused that, not President Bush.

Thanks for the reminder that it wasn't totally a federal screw-up. Local government had so much to do with that disaster but the main-stream media did a great job with their "We hate Bush" agenda that the real story never gets out. Can we say "school bus" Nagin also had a huge part in the disaster as well as gov Blanco?

"school bus" Nagin...love it. Yes, I think he was hugely to blame. But the thing I think is the funniest about this thread is how it went from Bush saying a dirty word <gasp> into one of the many Bush bashing, Bush hating threads that are on here each week. YAWN!!! Getting really old.

I can't believe a thread I started is actually still going. I think this is the most responses I have ever gotten on a thread I started since I have been a part of this group. And I think it has been almost a year now since I have been here. Even when ds broke his arm and required surgery I got maybe 7 responses. Maybe I just have to insert the words Pres. Bush into whatever thread I start:D. WOW!

Yet you're never to board to hop on and act like anyone not agreeing with Bush or his policies are the stupidest people on the planet. BTW, I don't see the humor in it. I'm scared to death for me and my kids over what that man has gotten us into.
