Okay, I have wanted to do this for a while, but was intimidated by all the options. I figured I would try it out with two lighting fixtures we removed when we redid our bathroom. If they sell, great. If they don't sell, well hello freecycle.

My question is I listed the fixtures seperately incase someone could use a smaller fixture or just the larger fixture. I commented in each auction about the other available fixture. If someone bids on both and wins both, how do I alter the shipping charges? - I have paypal as the payment form and a calculator for the shipping.

Thanks!!!

on a side note, I noticed on eBay tuesday listings that those of you with multiple listings have one http:// address to show that. When you are in eBay, do you look up items sold by one seller (you) and then copy that address into your post here on MS? I have a ton of baby things to get rid of and I am thinking of selling them on eBay. TIA

I don't use the shipping calculator so unfortunately I can't help you with that. But I would think there is a way to manipulate it so you can combine shipping. That is exactly how you do the URL for your listings, just do a search by seller on yourself and when you get to your items, copy the url. Post them so we can see!

even if you did flat rate but someone won multiple listings and you only accept paypal - how would you combine auctions and reduce shipping? Do you accept other forms of payment?

Actually I think you can edit the invoice shipping amount sent through eBay when a bidder wins multiple items of yours.

It is really simple to combine auction wins. When using the shipping calculator you put the weight of each item. So on the box that says that you give shipping discounts click on it then if the same person wins when you send the invoice it will allow you to combine both auctions and it will automatically calculate how much both weighs and any handling fee you have.

Thank you. Now for another question - where is the box that I check to say I will give shipping discounts? I just typed it in the body of the auction description. The rest makes sense. Since I will have Paypal accept the payment and I checked the box for eBay to send out the win and please pay notice, when will I get the chance to alter the combined shipping if the same bidder wins both?

Thanks so much!

I always just write it in my listings. This way, I am sure they read it! LOL

On the selling page it is right under the item location it says

Shipping discount

( )Apply a shipping discount when buyer purchases multiple items from me

Then when they ask for a combined shipping just check the box that says combine winning auctions after they end. They may even be able to do it without asking you for it.

Thank you. I either missed that or skipped right over it since I was posting my first item. I will go back and edit my listings. Thank you again for your help!
