As far as I can tell, the best time to list seasonal items is when you start to see those items in the stores. For instance, the stores are bringing out swimsuits at the moment, This is a good time to try and start listing some of those spring time outfits and bathing suits. I think the idea is alot of people tend to go 'Cruising' this time of year and look for deals on 'cruise' items.

Spring/summer - I actually start this around Feb. -- I have found that is when people are "wishing" for the warmer weather!

BTS - July/August is when I am looking & selling anything that is relevant.

Halloween - beginning of Sept, right after school starts is when I start

So whats hot right now?? Anything good going on??

I am an E-Bay seller and sell when the items are in stores/at the start of the season. Kids & baby stuff sells when ever. What I have been experencing is that sales are very slow at the end of the month so not to list auction style items then. The week before the 15th is the best. Another trick I learned when I first started was list items so they end on Sunday evening. Here is when I do my listings :
7 day auction list on Sunday
5 day auction list on Tuesday
3 day auction list on Thursday
Doing the Sunday end time has really increased what the item sells for.
Also for ten cents more, some times I will schedule my auctions so I can enter my info when the kids are sleeping anytime during the week)
