Last year, I was a trading assistant on ebay and put an ad in the paper to sell stuff for people. No one called me except for this one little old lady. She had about 50 salt and pepper shakers and she wanted me to sell them for her. It took MONTHS, tons of relisting and finnaly I gave up on it. First she wanted them sold all in 1 lot and wanted $100 for them. I tried to tell her they wouldn't go that high, people on ebay are looking for a deal, no one will pay that much. And of course the highest they got was about $30. LOL I had a reserve on them, so I didn't sell them for her. Then I convinced her to let me split them up, but she insited on small lots. I did that for a little while, but that didn't work out as well as she hoped either. Finnally, she let me do it my way, and I sold most of her shakers, and she made about $70. When I was done with her, I just wanted to be done with it all, I didn't even take my cut. LOL

That was last year, she called me again yesterday, she has been cleaning out closets and wants me to list more stuff for her! OMG! LOL SO I'm meeting her tommorrow to go though what she has and see if its worth selling more of her junk on ebay. She is an OLD lady too, hard of hearing, she's too much. LOL

Ugh! I feel your pain! Last year I sold some clothing for my friends aunt. I had to wash and get stains out of things, iron things, it was so much work and I think I only took 10% because I felt bad it didn't make much money. I thought she'd take my suggestion to take the clothes to the consignment shop but no, a few months later she had more things for me.

I am doing the same thing for my Aunt. I just do it my way though. Luckly she does not care. I only sell her items that I think will sell and I do it auction style no reserve. Not everyone will let you do it this way, but she needs money terriebly, so does not complain...pick and choose, don't beat yourself up. If you see it is not going to sell, give it back....Good Luck...

Well they acutally ended up not being terrible things. She has a walnut salad bowl set, a full punch bowl set, and a glassware set. None of the items are brand name, but I figured she could probably get about $20-30 for each of them. SO I'm gonna try it.
