I hope someone can answer these questions for me, as I am still new to this ebay stuff. My dh bought something last night and set up a paypal account with his debit card. When he went to pay by paypal, it said he had exceeded some kind of limit (it was $30), and he needed to put in his bank account info. He didn't do it and just decided to send a money order. My question is why do you have to put in your bank account info? Wouldn't your debit card be enough? Another question I have is can you retract a bid you've made? The other night I accidentally put in a bid of $2300 instead of the $23.00 I meant to put. And like an idiot I confirmed it too. Luckily it only went up to $26 or I would have been out a lot of money! But I didn't see anywhere to fix a mistake like that. If anyone can help me with these questions I would appreciate it. Thanks, Brandi

Did your hubby set up the account that day whe he won the item? I know when I signed up through paypal- they sent me like 7 cents and I had to confirm my account by letting them know how much they sent me. I am wondering if that is what happened.

As for the other thing- I know my mom did something like that before and she was able to retract the bid, she's out shopping for the day so I will ask her when she gets home and I will let you know how she did it!

I don't know the answer on the paypal thing.

Do a search on ebay for retracing/cancelling bids. I accidently bid $15,000 on an elmo a few months ago. LOL If you retract your bid, you need to bid right away again, the right amount.

Yes you can retract a bid and that classifies as one of the reasons. You go to the site map at the top of any ebay page and go to the section Buying Resources on the far left column the first category is Bid retraction just click on that and follow the directions! Hope This helps!
