I'm so right now! Over two weeks ago I bought something for my oldest (a personalized PBK lunchbox that matches her PBK backpack) for school which starts monday. I emailed her yesterday b/c I still didn't have the item and she sends me an email saying she mailed it a long time ago and the tracking number that shows it went out last night. Why lie? Just say you forgot about it and it's no big deal. Then she proceeds to say that she was going to refund me except the shipping b/c she noticed a cut in the item when she went to package it. HELLO! If there was a cut in the item she should have emailed me over two weeks ago and issued a refund for the full amount then and there, that way I would have had time to get Julia one from PBK before school starts. Why the hell would someone what a kids item with a cut in it when it's suppose to be brand new??? Normally the items I buy aren't very important, no need to rush but dd needs this for the first day of school and I'm so ticked at this seller for not communicating with me. Now I'm going to have to go buy some cheap lunchbox for her until the PBK order will be delivered. UGH out more time, frustration and money!

ok, just had to vent, thanks for listening- or reading anyway....This is why I prefer CL!

If you bought it from e-bay, where you can leave negative feedback, I would back sure to leave negative feedback.

Sorry this happen, and I know that your daughter was really looking forward to it, and that is what makes it worst.

Your daughter disappointment.

Ok I'm wondering if the seller is on Mommysavers and read my rant! LOL

I just got another email from her, she refunded my shipping costs and apologized for disappointing my little girl (which Ruthie is right- that is why I'm upset).

PBK=Pottery Barn Kids, sorry about that, must have been confusing!

But my dd got a post card from her teacher in the mail welcoming her to the class so she's on cloud 9 right now anyway, so I'm good, not ticked anymore, Love being able to vent on MS, always makes me feel better!

That's ok, just curious. That's not something I know about.

Glad it's working out better at least. A nice safe place to vent is always a big help

It's always frustrating when you buy something online and it either doesn't arrive on time, or doesn't arrive in the condition you were led to expect.
We had a similar experience a while back. Himself bought a Tiffany-style swag lamp on eBay to go over our dining table. The photograph showed it completely assembled and lit. When it arrived, it was completely taken apart, the design was not the same as the one in the photograph, it had no cord, the porcelain bulb socket was cracked, and there was a boatload of random hardware in the box that had nothing to do with the lamp. We had to buy a socket and a cord for it, and build the lamp into the shade. Fortunately, I know how to build a lamp, and I liked the design even better than the one in the picture.
