I won an auction on tuesday (2 days ago) and payed for it immediately through paypal. I have not even heard from the seller at all. I would think by now they would have at least emailed me to let me know when this would be shipping. It's a birthday present for my mom so I'm anxious to get it because I then need to send it off to my mom. Am I being impatient? I emailed the seller earlier today to see if they did get the payment and when it would be shipping and they haven't responded to this either. (When I asked a question about the item during bidding it was almost immediate that I got a response. They have over 2500 feedback and their feedback is 99.7 positive)

I normally send an invoice as soon as it sells - unless I happen to not be online. Do they say in their auction how many business days their handling time is?

In any case - I think they should have gotten back to you by now. You might have to send another email getting a little nasty. GL!

When I was selling things on ebay, I would immediately send an email to the buyer. However, when buying most of the time I never here anything until I receive the item in the mail.

The auction said they ship within 2 days of cleared payment. It also says that they will send a winning confirmation email. The only email I have gotten was from ebay.

I personally always let people know when things ship, but I notice that not all sellers are that way. When I pay through paypal, I now ask them to let me know when my items ships.

I would send a nice email telling the seller your situation and ask them to let you know when it ships. As others have said, most of the time I don't hear anything from the seller untill I receive the item. IMO, I would not be condescending(sp) or nasty in my email unless you continue to get no response. This may provoke the seller and get you an undeserved neg feedback.

I just had a similar situation, I won an item Jan 20, paid immediately, I wanted to give to my SIL for her bday 02/03, which I knew I was pushing, but if they got it in the mail right away I would have gotten it. Anyway I just received the item yesterday, 02/15, so we gave my SIL a gift card to Walmart instead. I had emailed the seller a few times, they got back to me on 02/08 saying it was sent, should be here 2-3 days. I don't know what kind of feedback to leave, item in perfect condition, just upset that it took that long.

Some of those super sellers don't always e-mail, I don't think I have had one that did. I have quit using ebay, especially for any kind of present. People don't leave feedback, you get ripped off, both ways selling and buying and then on top of that many times people don't even get what they were expecting.

I would put just that, item was fine, but shipping was very slow. Would probably not do business again or wouldn't buy another present.

I think that it depends if the seller seems to be doing a lot of business. You should be careful because some of the super sellers send things out very quickly, have had good outcomes with book stores and card shops. Other things like candles or nik naks (I'm sure I didn't spell that right) can depend on the person.
