My 15 y.o. son used my e-bay account for a purchase with my permission. He bid and won a go ped gas powered scooter yesterday, the total was $368.00. He used his own money for this. OK fine, I find out that this seller has no feedback (0) and has been a e-bayer since October after I pay!! Dumb on my part I know, I got nervous and have been e-mailing asking different questions about this transactiona and scooter and have not heard from the person and its been 24 hours. My payment is still pending, should I back out of it? Is it too late? What should I do?

I would cancel the paypal transaction until you hear feom the seller. If the money has transferred already, then you have 45 days to place a complaint through Pay Pal with the selled. If you do not hear from or get the item within a week and he/she has your money, Pay Pal will try to redeem your money back through any accounts that are verified through pay pal. Remember, your transaction will not complete to the seller if his/her account is not verified.

Check now, if the paymeny is still pending CANCEL IT!

I cancelled the payment as it was still pending. I still havent heard from the sellers at this point and its almost 48 hours. Makes me glad I have the money back at least! I hope I dont get my 100% feedback ruined over this ~ thanks ladies

PayPal payments protect you up to $200 or $2000 depending upon the seller's status with ebay. I would be nervous in your situation. I would think that this particular seller would only have $200 protection. I buy things on ebay all the time because I live in a small rural area with limited shopping.

I have only had one PayPal payment "pending" for over 24 hours. It was a new seller who mixed up what e-mail address she linked to her ebay account. (It was a lot of scrapbooking stuff for $15.00 including shipping.) The fact that your payment was still "pending" is strange.

If I were you, I would wait for ebay to contact you in case the seller isn't legitimate, then the seller won't contact ebay about your non-payment so as to not draw attention to themselves.

Good luck, risking your 100% feedback is worth it in my opinion.
