Trying to find info on there is confusing for me for some reason-

When you post something for sale can you re-post it daily or do you have to delete an old post and then re-post?

And any other craig's list tips you want to share for successful listings? Thanks!

I've sold and bought some things with craigslist, so with both perspectives I think that seeing multiple posts of the same thing tends to be frustrating for a buyer. You can update a post with more information or pictures, or delete your post and start over, but it seems to me that just adding more posts about the same thing hurts your credibility. It could make people believe you're desperate to sell and so they can negotiate a lower price, or maybe there's something wrong with it so they won't want it any more than you apparently do. Just my thoughts, though.

The rules of craigslist are that you can not post the same item more than once in 7 days. Your original post lasts for 7 days. If you post it more than once (as MANY people do) the posts can be booted/deleted. You could delete it, then repost but not in the same day. I find it annoying when people post the same thing more than once.

If youre selling - the best thing you can do is add a picture for your item! If youre buying, you need to be pretty quick to respond to the ad when its posted. Alot of things go quickly - especially the free items.

For our craigslist the posting is on there for 45 days. I usually delete stuff after a few days and relist it because so much stuff is listed that in a day or two it could be on page 3 and I don't think people really look at stuff that is off the first or second page. A lot of times after I bump it up then I get someone who wants to buy it. What annoys me is when something is sold and the person doesn't take it out of craigslist so it looks like it is still for sale or when they put such and such an item is sold. Just delete it so we don't have to look at it! I am so sick of people who say they are coming for the item and never show up so I now put in my listings serious buyers only.

Make sure you use a descriptive title. We just sold a mountain bike for $800 on Craig's List! I have also sold off things from my old online business. I LOVE IT
