I agree with everyone else. If they had the costs listed, then that is what you pay. Contact ebay, you cannot add additional charges after the auction closes. Paypal has always charged for confirmation, she can't add that to your costs. It is her responsibilty to cover the costs, it is her error.

Thank you to all who responded.

I requested the seller send a corrected invoice. I received it, paid it and received the item yesterday.

Thanks again for all your help.

Should the seller always contact you to let you know they received payment and that they will be shipping the item?

Also, when you email them to ask when to expect shipment (it was not listed in the auction), how long should you wait to hear back from the seller?

I won some tickets from this seller on 08/09/2007. I paid thru PayPal $500.00 the same day and haven't heard a word from the seller. I have emailed to check status, but still nothing.

What do you think?

I would send another email letting them know if you do not hear from them by the close of business today you are notifying Ebay. If you do not hear from them I would contact Ebay. $500 is a lot of money and to not hear from a seller would have me freaking out.

I don't always get verification from a seller that my payment has been received or that my item is shipping but I have never waited over a week for an item.

If you contacted the seller for the status I think they should have gotten back to you by now.

Good luck.

and as a side note...Paypal does not charge any 18 cents for shipping. Silly silly seller..if anything they're talking about the Ebay fee for listing which the buyer is not responsible for.

The only time paypal charges 18 cent for dc is if you use media rate. Not sure why they charge then. But since this was NOT for a media item , then there should be NO reason for an extra dc charge.
