Help! I have never bought anything off ebay before and I am interested in buying something right now. It is a set of boys clothing (16 pieces-8 long sleeve shirts/sweaters and pants). I do not know what to offer. Do I continue to just watch it or put in a bid?? The bid still has a little over two days left. I really want this, please note that my 5 & 4 yr old are the same size and wear all the same clothes, so this would make us set for the school year. It is also all new clothing, tags still on.
I am going to check the list here to see if anyone else has bought from this buyer-*Precious Kids Closet.
Any tips anyone can give me, i would really appreciate.

I would actually put it on my watch list this early. With 2 days left, I would hate to see you drive up the bid. I would bid closer to the end of the auction. This way, if you bid on it now, and someone comes and outbids you, you would have to bid again, and again, thus increasing the bid. Try and get it for as cheaply as possible to make it worth your while.

Thanks Missy! I checked on it this morning. It is still at a really good price, so I will just continue to watch it.

this is the best thing i have learnt for buyign on ebay, normally if i really want it i do this and most times i win it. if you can dotn bid till the very end, i normally wait till the last 20 sec. just keep hitting the refresh button so you know how long it has, then when it gets to about 30 sec. or so(depending on how slow your computer is, i ahve interent through cable so ti is fast if yours isnt so fast you will want to do it a bit before) i bid, enter the highest youa re willing to pay! dont just bid the next amount it says, if youa re willing to pay 40.00 and the bid is only at 12.00 and it says enter 13.00 or higher enter 40.00 if youa re willing to pay that cause the bid can actually be up to that already but it doesnt show it. this is if you can be home at this time and you can sit there and wait for it tio end. cause if you bid now youa re just driveing the bid up higher, cause other people that really want it will keep bidding higher. i ahve done this several times, sometimes the item ends up going higher then i want to pay before i get a chance to bid the last second but i tell you i ahve won a lot fo stuff this way for great prices. the other day i bid on a girls comlumbia winter coat and snowpoants, i bed at the last second and won it, if i would of bid before i knwo i would of gotten outbid
good luck. any more questions feel free to ask, i ahve gotten pretty good about buying on ebay

1 day and 13 hours left. So far it is at a really low price. I hope that I can get it.
It would be so nice to get that lot of clothes and not have to buy much or anything more for the winter. I will let you know what happens.

Be ready and decide how much you really want to pay for it. It WILL go up toward the end of the auction, so decide now how much you are willing to pay for it. If its a lot, it will probably go up a bunch. I hope you get it with a good price! Keep us posted!

If you've never bought OR sold on ebay, you need to make sure you are registered and everything. You may also want to contact the seller if you have "low" numbers of feedback. I have a block on my auctions for people with low feedback, only due to those danged scam artists out there.

If you don't have paypal, make sure the auction takes Personal Checks or a Money Order. Some auctions only take Paypal, and it is a bit of a process to get an account - IIRC it took a few days to almost a week to get it going.

Pay as soon as possible. Like the next day you get the contact information. Make sure your address is correct, email it to the seller and if you are mailing payment, include it with the payment.

I think I found the right auction. The main thing is they want payment in 3 days - so be ready and quick! Email as soon as payment is sent. They have 100% feedback, so that's a very good thing

Good luck!

lots of times though the seller will wait a little longer for payment as long as you contact them. i just wona columbia coat and snowpants for my daughter on saturday, it said they wanted payment in 4 days, but i couldnt pay till friday so i contacted her immediately after i won asking if it was all right if i paid friday and she said that was fine. communication is the biggest thing you need to remember on ebay

It is coming down to the last few hours. Only thing the time it ends, is when I need to be in the car driving to work. Think I might be a few minutes late. I had car problems. No, hopefully it will work out. Thanks for all the tips.
