Id be interested in the ones marked Limoges france Peint main The halcyon boxes ARE NOT limoges only boxes made in the city of Limoges france,so be careful if someone buys one and doesn't like it they can say it wasn't described correct.I hate to see you get in a bash with ebay and some customr that like to say they don't like the item just so you would lower the price?
Get it?
Sincerely
Floyd

He already bought a box and got it today. Now he is asking for his money back after this e-mail this morning and threating to report me to ebay. Don't you think he would see I made an honest mistade after this morning. Not only that he offered to buy some of my stuff with using ebay. When it is all said and done and I going to report him. What do you think....He will get his money back and I am canceling all bids and blocking the user.

Am I wrong to be mad???? Thanks for your imput.....Tonia

Tonia, I am not sure I understand what you are asking. You are selling some boxes and you are describing them as Limoges? Cancel the bids and start over, email your bidders and explain what is going on.

I am having a hard time following your post also...are you saying you thought they were limoges but they really werent? Is he asking for his money back because you misrepresented the item? What is the "honest mistake" you are referring to?

Yes, I was sooo mad when typed that up last night, now I see all kinds of errors in my typing. I did misrepresent the box and really did not even realize I had done it. I have gone in and updated my listings on the boxes that did not have bids, but could not update titles since I canceled bids. I guess what I got so upset over is I thought all these boxes were Limoge and have since found out this is a brand of box and not the actual box. I try to describe everything in my descriptions, from the actual box to all the words on the bottom. He kept telling me they would say Limoge on the bottom and I would say in all my descriptions there is no print on the bottom of my boxes. I do not believe he read it. I have sold a bunch of these in past with no problems I am assuming because of detailed descriptions. I do not deal them, just selling out of my Aunts house as she is sick. I am happy to refund the money. I am a good dealer, but was so hurt by the words that were said. Guess I am to fragil. Oh well...

Well I can't really understand from either of your posts exactly what's going on. But if what I THINK you're trying to say is that you were describing them as limoges boxes, but they were just "look alike" limoges boxes or in the "style of" limoges boxes, then I would just make sure I said that in the future. You do need to be careful just because some people will be upset if they're getting imitation and they think they're getting real. For example...I have a lot of Brighton items, and bought something off ebay that said brighton, but wasn't real brighton, just look alike brighton. I went ahead and kept it, but wasn't happy because I would never have bought it if I'd known it was "imitation". So you're probably okay....just remember to use the words imitation, look alike, style of....etc next time. HTH

Ok...I think I understand what is going on now.

It sounds to me like the man is trying to do you a favor and let you know that the boxes you are selling are not Limoges...his wording is a little broken and strange but I don't I don't think he is in the wrong by asking for a refund since he thought he was buying an actual Limoges box.

If you have already altered your current auctions, just give him his refund and chalk it up as a lesson learned. Just think...if this man hadn't told you they weren't limoges you might have had 20 people down the road asking for refunds instead of just this one.

Yeah, he got his refund, he was just very unprofessional when asking for it. I gave him original shipping and cost, all of $10. I gave him $5 upfront and told him when I got the box back in original condition, I would give him the other $5. Shipping it back in an envelope, so hoping it gets here in one piece. Anyway, I don't mind doing what I did. I just do not like being threatened that they were going to turn me in for misrepresenting an item. They did this on the origial e-mail and did not give me a chance to even say I would return money. That is why I only gave half. We had a new electronics piece not work. We refunded his whole money of $150 up front. Just wish people would be nice and not jump to conclusions before speaking with seller.
