I recently had an auction end, and the items (baby clothes) needed to be sent to an APO address. It was a pain, I had to fill out customs paperwork, couldn't use the automated machine, etc. Well, all that was fine, but I couldn't use delivery confirmation, as the package actually does not get delivered to a person immediately.

I was just wondering in future auctions can I request no APO boxes? Or is there a good wa to make sure it arrives? She said if it was u ndeliverable, and I wanted it returned, I had to also pay the return shipping fee.

I don't want to refuse selling to good people, but this was a hassle, and I certainly don;t want to wind up with any disputes because it didn't get there.

Any ideas?

You CAN do that. It is in your preferences section. I will ONLY ship to US and Canada. I also hate not selling to good people, but it is just too much hassle and time to do any other country.

I don't understand why you had so much trouble? I thought shipping to an APO was just like shipping in the US?

You can set your auction prefrences to US only. I have done that. I also have it set so only people with certain feedback can bid also.

the post office just started offering delivery confirmation to apo/fpo addresses last week and if you ship priority mail, it would come back to you for no charge.

Thanks Sherri! I don't mind filling out the customs form, I am a flight attendant, so it was not a lot different from what I have to fillout for travel. I just know if it happens again I need to use the counter service, not automated. I guess I will have to specify to APO addys I will only ship priority.

I have been selling girls clothes, as we are now having a boy, and 3 kids is it for us! So I don't have much more left to put on there, and then I am done with Ebay for awhile.

I thought APO was like the US also, but I found out the same way. Specifying to ship only priority to APO is a great idea. I think I will do that also.
